When in Japan, Maki enjoys visiting vintage kimono shops. With a deep appreciation for their exquisite beauty, Maki wanted to bring kimonos into western interiors in a way that was functional and exciting. As a result, she created a line of modern accent pillows highlighting these beautiful traditional pieces in an accessible way.
